Sydney food and event guides
Office breakfast catering in Sydney, with a savoury plan.
Office breakfast catering works best when the food plan starts with the meeting time and the kitchen, not a pastry count. A savoury empanada can be part of breakfast, but coffee, fruit, dietary needs and early building access still need their own arrangements. For Sydney offices, this guide compares ready-to-serve food with cooking from frozen on site. An early-morning delivery is not assumed: send Argentum the exact date, postcode and serving time so availability can be confirmed before booking.

The Chef's Box
20 frozen empanadas across the five listed core flavours. For a later meal or a suitable self-bake setup, not immediate ready-to-eat service.
Explore The Chef's BoxBreakfast and morning tea are different jobs
At breakfast, some colleagues may be eating their first meal of the day. At morning tea, many have already eaten and want a smaller break. That changes how substantial the food needs to be and what else belongs on the table. Tell guests whether the invitation includes breakfast or a light snack so expectations are not left to guesswork.
If the event is a short break after the working day has started, use the morning-tea catering guide. For an actual breakfast meeting, plan a complete meal structure: savoury food, any separately organised fruit or lighter options, drinks and enough time to eat. Those components are not automatically included in an empanada box.
Choose a savoury component people can understand
Empanadas provide a defined filling in pastry rather than an open buffet dish that needs assembling. Review the specific flavours and ingredients with the people ordering. A cheese filling is not automatically suitable for everyone avoiding meat, and a vegan option is not evidence of allergy suitability.
The Classic is vegetarian and Patagonia is vegan. The Chef's Box contains 20 frozen empanadas across its listed five core flavours; it is a fixed selection, not the whole current range. If that mix does not match your team's dietary counts, discuss a different order rather than assuming the standard box can be silently changed.
Pick one of two workable preparation routes
| Route | When it can work | What must be confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Baked catering | Nobody is cooking at the office | Availability for the exact early time, receiving access and service plan |
| Frozen, cooked on site | Suitable equipment and a responsible cook are available | Storage, oven or air-fryer capacity, preparation time and flavour instructions |
| Microwave-only office | Not a self-bake setup | Discuss another food format rather than assuming a microwave can bake frozen pastry |
The Party Box lists baked and frozen options. The Corporate Box lists 100 baked empanadas. Check their current product details and the suitability of your requested time with Argentum. A lunch-oriented product page is not a guarantee of breakfast delivery.
For self-bake breakfast, test capacity before the event
An office oven may take a tray but not the entire order at once. Check usable tray dimensions, preheating time and whether multiple batches are needed. Nominate a person who is not simultaneously chairing the meeting. If breakfast is intended to let everyone sit down together, that person also needs a realistic finishing point before the meeting starts.
Use the official flavour-specific cooking guide and the product instructions. Oven and air fryer are the supported methods; do not substitute a frying-pan or microwave method. Brush with egg yolk or olive oil if desired and appropriate to the people eating. Keep raw frozen products and ready-to-eat food handled separately and follow suitable storage controls.
Coffee is an operational item, not a decorative add-on
Count the coffee machine's capacity as carefully as the oven's. One small machine making drinks individually can delay the start even when the food is ready. Decide whether staff will make their own drinks, a separate supplier will provide them or the office will arrange a batch-drink option. Confirm cups, water and cleanup too.
For a larger meeting, place drinks and food at separate points where practical. Guests should not have to wait for a complicated coffee order just to collect breakfast. If a venue or coffee provider is involved, confirm its access and schedule independently. Argentum's food order does not include a mobile barista or a coffee station unless separately and explicitly agreed.
Plan quantities around the rest of breakfast
Ask how many people will eat a full meal, whether other substantial food is included and how long the meeting runs. The empanada portion guide provides general adult planning ranges, not a guaranteed breakfast formula. A smaller savoury allocation can make sense beside another substantial dish, but a single small item should not be described as a full meal for everyone.
Avoid buying a box solely because its name sounds like the event. Twenty frozen empanadas, 60 mixed empanadas and 100 baked empanadas solve different quantity and preparation jobs. Work out the requirement first, then compare boxes. For a small team, a larger leftover allocation is not necessarily better value once storage, cooking and waste are included.
Resolve early access before confirming an order
Many buildings have different access arrangements before reception opens. Give the supplier an agreed entrance and a named person who can receive food. A company name, floor number and closed lobby are not a delivery plan. If using frozen food brought in ahead of time, check that the office has appropriate storage rather than leaving the order in a meeting room overnight.
Share the serving time, meeting start time and any gap between receipt and eating. Follow applicable food-safety controls and the venue's rules rather than assuming food can wait through a long presentation. The NSW Food Authority's home food-safety guidance is a useful handling reference; workplace arrangements may need their own procedures.
A practical breakfast brief
Write down the date; Sydney postcode and building; number eating; whether this is breakfast or a light break; other food and drink arrangements; dietary counts; exact food time; cooking equipment; and receiving contact. Ask whether a baked order can be supplied at that time, or whether an approved self-bake plan is the more suitable option. Do not announce a confirmed catering booking until those details have been accepted.
Start with the Sydney catering page or send the brief through the catering enquiry. For a longer working session that runs into lunch, the boardroom catering guide helps separate the breakfast and lunch requirements. The aim is a meeting that starts with people fed and the logistics already settled.
