Delivery and timing for outdoor events
For frozen retail orders, standard Sydney delivery applies with a $48 minimum. Bake at home before you leave and pack warm into a cooler bag. For baked delivery straight to the park entrance, we deliver inside a 30-minute window and the bags hold warm for 90 minutes. For picnics between May and October, cooler bags are more forgiving. Between November and April, we recommend serving within 3 hours of delivery in shaded park cover.
Dietary options for a park spread
Patagonia (mushroom, spinach, kale, carrot, green dough) is fully vegan. Classic (three cheeses plus caramelised onion) is vegetarian. Carnivore is halal standard (sourced halal beef, no formal certification); halal Athlete and Habibi Yalla are available on request for large catering orders. Gluten-free options are available on request with a week's notice for large orders. Every flavour is nut-free, which matters for family park picnics with mixed kids.

Can I take empanadas to Sculpture by the Sea?

Do you deliver directly to Centennial Park?
For retail orders, we deliver to your home and you carry the box to the park. For catering orders over 60 empanadas, we can arrange a park entrance drop with a 30-minute window.
How long can baked empanadas sit at a summer picnic?
Baked empanadas are food-safe for 4 hours at ambient temperature under 22°C. In direct sun, keep the cooler bag closed and serve within 2 hours.
Can I bake them on a portable grill or beach BBQ?
Not recommended from frozen (uneven heat). If reheating baked empanadas, wrap in foil, warm on a low-heat side of the grill for 4 to 5 minutes.
Are empanadas good for a proposal picnic at the Botanic Gardens?
Yes. Chef's Box (20 empanadas) with a bottle of Malbec, a picnic blanket, and a jar of Chimichurri ($12) is a strong combination.
What if I want a mix of flavours for the picnic?
