Food that actually works for the moment.

Engagement parties are about the people, the speeches, the photos. Not the plates. The food has to be good enough that guests remember it, and easy enough that it doesn't pull you out of the moment. Most catering forces a choice between the two. Empanadas don't. Handheld, individually portioned, works hot or at room temperature, photographs beautifully on a grazing board, and tastes like something you'd actually order at a restaurant.

They scale from an intimate dinner for twenty to a full venue for two hundred. We deliver baked, timed to your guests' arrival, or sent frozen for you to bake at 190°C in 18 to 22 minutes. For the more traditional Argentinian finish, we fry in beef tallow on request. Add our fresh salads to round out a proper meal, or set them on a long table next to the champagne and watch them go.

Made by hand in our Bondi Beach kitchen from recipes Pedro's grandma perfected over fifty years. Grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, proper cheeses, a fully vegan Patagonia with signature green dough. Gluten-free empanadas available on request for orders with a week's notice. How many empanadas for an engagement party?

Use the calculator above for a precise count. As a rough guide: alongside other food, 2 to 3 per person. As a cocktail main, 3 to 4 per person. As the full meal, 4 to 5 per person. For 60 guests at cocktail format, two Corporate Boxes is usually the call.

Can I mix flavours?

Yes. Our boxes include a curated mix across the five flavours. For larger orders, we'll help you build the right ratio based on your guest count, dietary mix, and how you're serving.

Baked, fried, or frozen?

Most engagement orders go out baked, delivered ready to serve and timed to guest arrival. For the traditional Argentinian finish, we fry in beef tallow on request. Frozen works if you want to bake on site at the venue.

How long do they stay warm?

Pre-baked empanadas hold warm for around 90 minutes in insulated delivery bags. They're also excellent at room temperature for the rest of the night. For longer engagements, we time delivery to peak service.

Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free?

Patagonia is fully vegan with signature green dough. The Classic is vegetarian, three cheeses. Gluten-free is available on request with a week's notice. Five flavours, every guest covered.

Can you add salads to an engagement order?

Yes. We make fresh salads in-house to pair with catering orders. Particularly good for sit-down engagement dinners or long-table lunches. Ask when you book and we'll suggest the right options.

Do you deliver to wedding venues and private rooms?

Yes. We deliver to private rooms at restaurants, hotel function spaces, hired venues, and private homes across Sydney. Tell us the venue and your service window and we'll coordinate.

How much notice do you need?

48 hours minimum. For larger engagements, gluten-free orders, or customised dietary mixes, a week is ideal. Last-minute? Call 0423 408 657 and we'll see what's possible.
