Will they stay warm on the boat?

Baked empanadas hold warm for around 90 minutes in an insulated delivery bag. They're also excellent at room temperature for the rest of the cruise.

Can I order pre-baked so there's no cooking on board?

Absolutely. Most boat orders go out pre-baked, timed to your departure. No oven or prep needed on board.

What if my boat doesn't have an oven?

No problem. Order them baked. They arrive ready to eat, no heating required.

Can you deliver frozen if the boat has a freezer?

Yes. For charters with galleys, we can deliver frozen for you to bake on board. Shelf life is 6 months frozen.

Can I add salads for a lunch cruise?

Yes. Fresh salads made in-house, packed in chilled containers for easy serving on the water.

What about dietary requirements?

Patagonia is fully vegan. The Classic is vegetarian. Gluten-free empanadas available on request with a week's notice.

How much notice do you need?

Boats and catering are a tricky combination. Small galleys, limited oven space, no room for plates and cutlery, guests standing on a moving deck trying to eat with both hands. Most finger food doesn't survive the boat test. Empanadas do. Handheld, individually portioned, work warm or at room temperature, and they travel beautifully in an insulated bag.

We deliver baked fresh to your marina, timed to your departure. They hold warm for around 90 minutes in an insulated delivery bag, or work at room temperature all afternoon. Pair with our fresh salads for a proper lunch on the water, or just serve them on a platter and watch them disappear while the boat leaves the dock.

Argentum was built for it. Premium Argentinian empanadas, baked fresh in our Bondi Beach kitchen, delivered warm to your marina from Rose Bay to Pittwater. Handheld, no cutlery, individually wrapped-ready. Feed a 12-person charter or a 100-guest cruise without renting a chef.

Delivery, timing, and cold chain on the water

Baked empanadas hold food-safe for 4 hours if the ambient temperature stays under 22°C. In summer, we recommend serving the first round on boarding, then storing the rest in the galley cool box for the second round after 90 minutes. For long harbour cruises, order frozen four-packs the boat can bake on demand (works if the galley has an oven or air fryer). Tell us the boat model when you enquire and we will give a straight recommendation.

Dietary options for a mixed charter

Patagonia (vegan) covers the pescatarian, vegan, and dairy-free guests in a single flavour. Classic (three cheeses) is the vegetarian option. Halal is available on request for catering orders. Every box arrives with a labelled dietary tag so guests can pick with confidence. For gluten-free requests on a boat, book a week ahead so we can bake the gluten-free spec separately.

Can you deliver to Pittwater and Church Point?

Yes, with a longer lead time. Church Point Ferry Wharf, Bayview Anchorage, and RPAYC. Order 48 hours ahead so we can time the drive up.

What if the boat has no oven?

Order baked. We deliver the empanadas hot in insulated bags timed to your boarding call. They hold warm for 90 minutes and eat well at room temp for another 2 hours.

Can we serve empanadas at a hens or engagement day on the water?

How many empanadas per person on a 4-hour cruise?

For canape service alongside cheese and dips, 2 to 3 per guest. As the main lunch, 3 to 4 per guest. For a full-day charter, 5 per guest with drinks.
