FC Barcelona's 2022 Sydney visit (without Messi). Barcelona played the A-Leagues All Stars at Accor Stadium on 25 May 2022 in front of 70,174 spectators, winning 3-2. It was Barcelona's first ever visit to Australia. Lionel Messi had left the club for Paris Saint-Germain in August 2021 and did not travel with the squad. The Barcelona side that played in Sydney featured Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembélé and Adama Traoré, among others.

- Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz. The duo behind Porteño and its sister bar Bodega in Surry Hills. - Club de Tango. Sydney's longest running Argentinian tango school, established in 1999 by Lisa and Peter after their first study trip to Buenos Aires. Runs classes in the CBD and Pyrmont and hosts a monthly milonga at Glebe Town Hall on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
- Tango Delight. Runs beginner terms and a monthly social milonga at Camperdown (Stanmore) Studio, taught by Graham on Tuesday or Thursday evenings.
- Sydney Tango Collective. Led by Mo and Mona, focused on progressive teaching in Paddington and Surry Hills.
- A Little Buenos Aires. Founded in 2000 by Mimi and Teddy, accredited teachers by the Escuela Argentina de Tango in Buenos Aires.
- Tango Spirit and Tango Synergy. Additional Sydney tango schools with their own weekly classes, milongas and workshops.

Big Argentinian names cycle through Sydney via the Opera House, Sydney Festival and independent promoters. Tango orchestras, jazz artists (Argentina has a strong jazz scene), rock nacional bands, and folkloric acts all appear from time to time.
