Food the guest of honour can actually eat.

Baby showers come with a quiet challenge. The food has to be beautiful enough for the photos, easy to eat while holding a tea cup, and safe for the mum-to-be. Most catering covers two of the three. Empanadas cover all three. Bite-size, photogenic on a long table, fully cooked through, with a fully vegan Patagonia option for plant-based guests. Mum-to-be can eat anything on the platter without checking the menu.

They scale from an intimate afternoon for ten to a full venue for eighty. We deliver baked, timed to guest arrival, or sent frozen for you to bake at home at 190°C in 18 to 22 minutes. Our empanadas contain no cured meats, no soft cheese, and nothing under-cooked. The Carnivore is slow-cooked grass-fed brisket, the Athlete is fully cooked free-range chicken with mozzarella, the Classic is a vegetarian three-cheese melt, and Patagonia is fully vegan with grilled mushroom and spinach.

Made by hand in our Bondi Beach kitchen from recipes Pedro's grandma perfected over fifty years. Grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, proper cheeses, signature green dough on the Patagonia. Are empanadas pregnancy-friendly?

Our empanadas are baked through at 190°C until the filling reaches a high internal temperature. They contain no cured meats, no soft cheese, and nothing raw. The Carnivore is slow-cooked grass-fed brisket, the Athlete is fully cooked chicken, the Classic is a hard-cheese melt, and Patagonia is fully vegan. As always, we recommend confirming with the mum-to-be's healthcare provider for any specific dietary guidance during pregnancy.

How many empanadas for a baby shower?

Use the calculator above for a precise count. As a rough guide: alongside other food, 2 to 3 per person. As a cocktail main, 3 to 4 per person. As the full lunch, 4 to 5 per person. For 25 guests at cocktail format, the Corporate Box is usually the call.

Do you have vegan and vegetarian options?

Yes. Patagonia is fully vegan with signature green dough, made with grilled mushroom, spinach, kale, carrot, and potato cheese. The Classic is vegetarian, three cheeses with caramelised onion. Both work as standalone options for plant-based guests.

Can I mix flavours?

Yes. Our boxes include a curated mix across the five flavours. For larger orders, we'll help you build the right ratio based on your guest count, dietary mix, and how you're serving.

Baked or frozen for a shower?

Most shower orders go out baked, delivered ready to serve and timed to guest arrival. Frozen works if you want to bake at home for the smell of fresh empanadas as guests arrive, or to keep things flexible if start times shift.

Are they suitable for kids?

Yes. The Classic three-cheese is the kid favourite, mild and comforting. Carnivore is also a hit with older kids. Smaller portions, no allergen surprises, no mess. We can flag any specific allergens at booking.

Can you add salads to a shower order?

Yes. We make fresh salads in-house to pair with catering orders. Particularly good for sit-down baby shower lunches. Ask when you book and we'll suggest the right options.

How much notice do you need?

48 hours minimum. For larger showers, gluten-free orders, or customised dietary mixes, a week is ideal. Last-minute? Call 0423 408 657 and we'll see what's possible.
