An office Christmas lunch, a Friendsmas table and a family gathering have different logistics. Start with who is coming, when people will eat, where the food will be served and what dietary requirements need confirming.

A useful first message: event date, suburb, guest count, food time, dietary requirements and any building or venue access notes.

Make the table feel intentional.

A seated lunch needs its own serving plan.

Confirm seats and dietary counts before choosing the food quantity. If empanadas are the main meal, three to four per adult is a useful starting range; allow two to three alongside other substantial dishes. For 20 adults, that means 60 to 80 as the main or 40 to 60 with other food.

  1. Agree one serving time and work backwards from the oven or confirmed baked delivery.
